Consignment Sale Tag Template

We are gearing up for the consignment sale this year and wanted to pass on this goodie.  If you want to print off your tags, here is a template (thanks to the Epperly's).  You do not have to use this template but we thought it might make things neater and easier for you.

Remember to print on colored card stock if you want your items picked up by charities at the end of the sale.  White paper tagged items will be available for consignors to pick up at the end of the sale.

Couponing 101

So, as many of you can verify, Terri Massie has gotten us all back into couponing.  Last Saturday, she conducted a mini-couponing seminar during the Chatty Crafters meeting.  Many of you heard about it but couldn't make it so we wanted to make sure you had access to the information.

Some of you are probably not into spending time looking though coupons to match up the deals but let me just say that tonight I saved 52% on my Kroger bill using coupons.  I bought things my family would definitely use.  The total before coupons and Kroger plus savings was $214 but all I paid was $105.  Yeah!  It was like getting paid $50 per hour to grocery shop.

Christmas Party and Secret Sisters

Switching to a new night of the week didn't keep women from attending this year's Girlfriend's Christmas party.  Although we didn't have April to help us with the decorations, it all came together and looked fabulous. 

We had plenty of food!  Enough for seconds.  What really was impressive though was the amount of items you all brought to be included in the baskets for the 16 women in the community that we are sponsoring this Christmas.

Secret Sisters were revealed and renewed (if you still want to do it, let Jennie know ASAP).

Upcoming activities during the holidays

G! Christmas Party: December 10th @ 7pm in the First Cafe.  Bring a covered dish to share.  We will reveal Secret Sisters and choose new ones for the coming year.  We will also be preparing baskets for local women of need.  Childcare WILL be provided for infants - 5th grade (YEAH!!).  Please RSVP for the event to Jennie Miller (and let her know if you will be needing childcare) at jmiller@scnaz.com or 304-768-7417.

 

Lit-n-Lattes (led by Brenda McFarland & Melissa Whitman) will meet on Dec. 7 at 6:30 in Books-a-Million's cafe.  They will discuss the book The Secret Life of Bees. RSVP at bstenor@verizon.net

Gamin' Gals (led by Natalie Stotts & Duwana Withrow) will meet on November 20th from 6:30-8:30 pm in the Fireside Room.  Bring a board game and a favorite snack to share.  RSVP at dwithrow@sleeponthebest.com

Chatty Crafters (led by Sherry DiNicola & Joy Hill) will meet on November 21st from 6-10 pm in the Fireside Room.  Bring a holiday appetizer or dessert.  Also...

Chatty Crafters will meet on December 12th - same time and place.  This meeting will be a cookie exchange!  Bring 2 dozen cookies and a copy of your recipe.  Divide the cookies into baggies of 2 cookies each.  RSVP for either event at joyhill862@msn.com

Gettin' Fit Chicks (led by Ellen Akers & Lila Angel) will schedule events after the new year.

Loads on the calendar for November

Happy Fall Girlfriends!!!

The cool weather and all the germs are starting to take their toll on us.  Many people are just wanting to stay huddled up in their homes.  Well...we hope you are not one of them as we have a plethora of activities for you this month. 

Mark you calendar now for the following Novemeber events...

Thursday, 5th: Lit-n-Lattes will meet at Books-a-Million at 6:30pm.  Everyone is invited to grab a drink and gab with us.  Remember, you don't have to have read the book of the month to attend. 

Friday, 6th: Flicker Chicks movie night out to see A Christmas Carol in 3-D.  Time TBA as theaters haven't released times yet.

Friday, 13th: Feed the Need Concert at 7 pm.  OK so it isn't a Girlfriend event but it is important in our mission to reach out to the women in our community.  Invite friends and bring canned food.  Either way you are helping women in our community see the love of Jesus Christ.

Tuesday, 17th: GNO in the Fireside Room at 7pm.  This month's topic is Simplifying the Holidays.  Come see ways to save time and money this season.  Get new recipes.  See fantastic ideas for gifts and family traditions.  Come destress and see how you can RELAX through the holidays this year.  Feelin' Fine Through '09!

Friday, 20th:  Gamin' Gals are partying in the Fireside Room from 6:30-8:30.  Game on!

Saturday, 21st: Chatty Crafters will have the Fireside Room open from 6-10pm.  All ladies are invited to bring craft projects, Christmas cards, scrapbook pages to work on, crochet, knitting, etc.  Bring whatever you are working on or just come see what others are doing.  Get out of the house and have fun chatting it up with us.

Up All Night? Well, kind of...

Hey ladies!

This Friday we kick off our G! year with our 1st event, "Up All Night"!  I have heard a few comments over the last week or so about the "all night" part of this event. 

I don't want you to miss this event because you think it is scheduled too late.  Once you get there you may want to stay but we understand if you need to leave early. 

The schedule for the night includes times to experience all of the G! small groups (Lit n' Lattes, Gettin' Fit Chicks, Gamin' Gals, Flicker Chicks, and Chatty Crafters).  All participants will also get the inside scoop on all G! events for the year.

I hope that as many of you as possible can attend!  If you check FACEBOOK, you can RSVP for this event on our new FB group (Thanks April Epperly!)
